Winter skin care

In the cold season, our skin needs more careful care. After all, it is much more sensitive to cold than to heat. For one square centimeter of our skin, there are from 6 to 23 receptors that perceive cold, and there are no more than three heat receptors. Constant exposure to low temperatures, wind, snow and rain lead to aging of the skin.

It is known that in winter the structure of the skin will change, it loses moisture more than when exposed to the sun. So, if it is hot in the room, and it is minus outside, she experiences stress and does not have time to restore the water balance in such conditions. It is proven that in the cold season, the skin loses up to one liter of fluid every day. Free radicals are actively formed in the skin, leading to its aging.

For long walks in the winter season, greasy protective creams are useful. They insulate the skin from the cold, creating a protective film. But these creams are too heavy for warm rooms, so it is contraindicated to use them as a base for makeup.

Basic rules of skin care:

Prevention of influenza and SARS

ARVI is a group of respiratory viral diseases caused by various viruses and characterized by damage to the upper respiratory tract and general intoxication of the body. Today, more than 200 viruses of ARVI pathogens are known, forming various groups (parainfluenza viruses, influenza viruses, adenoviruses, rhinoviruses, enteroviruses, etc.)

Influenza is one of the varieties of SARS, but the most epidemiologically significant. It is very important to notice the developing symptoms of influenza or ARVI at an early stage. This will allow you to quickly cure the flu, and reduce the likelihood of complications.

Influenza and ARVI viruses are transmitted from person to person by airborne droplets-when coughing and sneezing, with drops of saliva. When a sick person coughs and sneezes, microscopic droplets containing the virus spread in the air, and then settle on the surfaces of surrounding objects, from where dust particles can enter the upper respiratory tract of surrounding people.A sick person is most contagious to others in the first 3-4 days of the disease, although the release of the virus is possible throughout the disease and even during recovery. Children, especially young ones, are potentially "dangerous" for a longer period (7-10 days).

Prevention of natural focal diseases

Currently, the epidemic situation in the territory of our region for natural focal infectious diseases (POI) transmitted by rodents remains tense.

A significant number of settlements in the region are located in the zone of natural foci of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, tularemia, which is associated with the risk of involving the living population in the epidemic process.

Natural focal infections are diseases common to humans and animals, the pathogens of which can be transmitted from animals to humans. They are widely distributed among wild, agricultural, domestic animals, especially rodents.

Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is a severe infectious disease that occurs with an increase in body temperature, general intoxication, damage to the kidneys, blood vessels and other organs. The source of infection is small rodents (red vole, field mouse, gray and black rat, different types of voles).

Human transmission occurs in various ways. The virus is released from rodents with saliva and excrement. In winter, when the resistance of the virus increases significantly, the main route of transmission of infection is air-dust.

Stroke prevention

Cerebrovascular diseases are one of the leading causes of death in the Russian Federation. The share of acute cerebral circulatory disorders (stroke) in the structure of total mortality in our country is 21.4%, and disability after a stroke reaches 3.2 per 1000 population, ranking first among all causes of primary disability.

An important step in the selection of people who need preventive measures is the recognition of risk factors for stroke. Risk factors for the development of cerebrovascular disease can be divided into unmodified (age, gender, hereditary predisposition) and modifiable, which include arterial hypertension, atrial fibrillation, diabetes mellitus, asymptomatic carotid artery disease, as well as lifestyle risk factors (tobacco smoking, alcohol abuse, overweight, poor nutrition, insufficient physical activity, stress).

Thus, stroke prevention consists of the following provisions.
