How to survive the first session

First session in University is a serious stress not only for the first-year student, but also for his parents. While the teenager has not yet forgotten the entrance exams, parents have already begun to worry about the grades in the diploma.

How can I help a young student survive the session and not get too excited?

Stop being nervous

The best way to help your child during the session is to stop being nervous yourself. Many students say that they feel the highest tension during the session in their own family.

It is not necessary to make excessive demands on the first session and constantly monitor how the teenager learns the material and how well the exams pass.

The five is not an end in itself

Parents of a first-year student will have to be patient and treat their son or daughter's studies calmly and positively. Explain to the teenager that exams are part of the learning process, and not the end of the world: neither for them, nor for you. After all, in the worst case scenario, the exam can be retaken.

How does physical activity during pregnancy affect the mother and child

Any parent, of course, wants to raise not just a smart and healthy child, but also a physically developed one. To do this, many people begin to instill a love for a healthy lifestyle and sports almost from birth. But even this is not yet a chapel-now doctors advise to engage in small physical activities even during pregnancy. This, according to them, not only helps to survive childbirth better, but also to instill in the child a love of sports even before birth.

These words are confirmed by a 2012 study, in which women with a pregnancy period of 12-14 weeks were divided into two groups, one of which began to exercise (and did it up to 36 weeks), and the other did not. The sessions lasted approximately 45 minutes, which included walking, step fitness, cardio, and light weight training. The result was not only a faster recovery after childbirth, but also a significant reduction in cases of cesarean section: 2 vs. 10 in the group without physical activity.

From a biological point of view, during pregnancy, women's blood circulation increases, because a new circle appears — the placental circle. This leads to additional cardiac stress. Exercise, as we all know, helps to improve the functioning of the cardiovascular system and strengthen the heart muscle. And in the second half of pregnancy, the uterus, enlarged, begins to press on the diaphragm, which makes it difficult to breathe and the body may experience oxygen deficiency. Therefore, cardio training and breathing exercises will help you cope with childbirth more easily.

Infant colic

Colic is a typical problem of the first weeks of a child's life and a serious test of the nervous system of young parents. About a third of all newborn babies suffer from colic from time to time before the age of four months.

If this problem is not caused by serious diseases, it does not prevent children from growing and developing normally. What do you need to know about infant colic to exclude the possibility of developing gastrointestinal diseases, allergies and other ailments?

When does colic start?

Colic usually begins around the age of three weeks and reaches its peak between the fourth and sixth weeks of the baby's life. By the age of about three months unpleasant sensations in the abdomen, as a rule, leave the child.

Attention: if after 12 weeks of life the baby has severe colic-a thorough examination is necessary to exclude a serious gastrointestinal disease!

Communication with an infant

From the first months of life, the child learns to perceive the world and learns how friendly or hostile it is for him. First impressions leave their mark on the rest of a person's life: on their style of communication with others, on their attitude to their parents, and even on their self-esteem. Therefore, the task of parents is to provide the child with such conditions in which the baby will be able to pass this important stage of his life with maximum benefit. To do this, you need to communicate with your child: and not just talk about everything and nothing, but introduce him to the world, see him as a full-fledged interlocutor who will listen to every word you say, build on the basis of physical and verbal communication with your parents your own picture of the world.

Touch language

Communication with the baby should cover all possible manifestations. Tactile communication is extremely important for the baby, because the warmth of your touch will not replace anything else. Do not be afraid to once again hold the child in your arms, stroke him, hold him to yourself – all this gives rise to the confidence in the baby that he is loved and supported in everything.

Breast-feeding can also be called a special type of communication between a mother and a child. Therefore, psychologists insist on prolonged breastfeeding (from six months), which allows a woman to fully feel all the manifestations of the maternal instinct, and the child-to gain a sense of security and carelessness.

First teeth without problems

As soon as the severe period of infant colic ends, parents wait with bated fear for the teeth to begin to erupt.

Contrary to popular belief, the first teeth are not always a serious problem. We tell you when to expect them and what to prepare for.

When to wait for the first tooth?

First teeth care

Despite the fact that baby teeth will still fall out, they need to be thoroughly cleaned and treated if necessary.

Many parents are waiting for the first teeth, when the baby begins to drool and put his fingers in his mouth. This occurs at the age of three to four months.

However, this behavior is a normal stage in the development of a child who has started to get acquainted with his own hands, but has not yet learned to swallow saliva normally.

Research plan during pregnancy

Any future mother wants her baby to be born on time and be healthy. Previously, we had to rely only on the wisdom of nature and anxiously wait for the birth of a child.

But now almost all the changes that occur with the baby in the womb can be tracked with the help of mandatory tests and studies that are prescribed in the women's clinic.

Why is this necessary?

How right

How to eat properly for the expectant mother, what myths about pregnancy should not be believed, and how to quickly get ready for the maternityhospital , experts say.

Early rises and taking tests on an empty stomach, sitting in queues, ultrasound examinations, examinations and measurements seem to many women to be useless procedures that take too much time and effort. If you feel normal, some expectant mothers try to avoid even routine research.

Reproductive health: who is to blame for infertility

Remember, in folk tales, the heroes are often a couple of husband and wife who did not have children. Even in those early days, it was considered a tragedy. And since ancient times, a woman was usually considered guilty of this. For example, according to the Indian laws of Manu, which generally forbade divorce, a husband could take another wife if there were no children in the marriage.

Now, infertile marriage is an important problem on a global scale. What is infertility for a couple? This is the inability to conceive with regular sex during the year.

According to WHO, over the past 50 years, there has been a clear progressive trend towards a decline in the birth rate from 33.3 percent to 16.4-12.3 percent. Statistics show that if in the 70s the number of infertile couples in the world was about 5 percent, at the moment this figure is approaching 15 percent.

Ultrasound is absolutely safe for the baby's health and can be used several times during pregnancy. What else do you need to know about this procedure?

What is it?

Ultrasound diagnostics is a simple and intuitive way to diagnose the course of pregnancy. Most women undergo this study at least once during the waiting period for a baby.

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to map the internal structures of the body.

The sensor of the device for ultrasound diagnostics emits sound waves that are reflected from internal organs and tissues. This information is transmitted via a receiving device to a computer, which creates a two-dimensional image on the screen.

Clean from day one

From the first days of a child's life, it is especially important to properly care for the skin. How healthy she will be in the future depends on the efforts spent by her parents. And here the specialists are adamant-the care must be constant and of high quality. Babies have a very delicate skin, the epidermis is extremely vulnerable to infections, and the inflammatory process can be caused by almost any flora, since the immune system as a whole is not yet strong. The regularity of leaving is the same condition for both boys and girls. However, there are also significant differences in their toilet.

The list of basic hygiene procedures for babies includes daily skin care for the face, eyes, ears, genitals, as well as bathing. However, pediatricians do not agree on the last point. According to the methodological recommendation for students of the Faculty of Pediatrics on the discipline "Organization of medical supervision and care for a healthy and sick child" approved by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, daily bathing is necessary. However, as noted by a number of practitioners, due to the frequent wetting of the umbilical cord with water, the process of its mummification, falling off and complete healing of the umbilical wound slows down. Therefore, it is advised to abandon daily baths in favor of washing until the umbilical wound is completely overgrown. After its healing, after 1-2 days, you can bathe the baby every day with boiled water, the temperature of which is 37-38°.

What is cancer?

Cancer is a common name for a broad group of cancers in which the body's cells begin to grow and divide uncontrollably. Without treatment, these diseases become fatal.

The ancient Egyptians knew that cancer is a deadly disease. And the name of this disease was invented by the famous ancient doctor Hippocrates, who noticed the similarity of the shape of the cancer with a crab.

What is cancer?

Normal cells in the body grow, divide, and die in an orderly manner. In childhood, cells divide and grow rapidly. As a person matures, the process of division and growth slows down, and cells multiply only to repair damage and replace worn-out or dying cells.

Measures for the prevention of diabetes mellitus

Content of the article:

  1. Maintaining proper water balance
  2. Compliance with the rules of healthy eating
  3. Physical activity as a preventive measure of diabetes mellitus
  4. Self-care for the prevention of the disease

To prevent the development of diabetes, you should strictly follow certain preventive measures. It is important to teach yourself to control your diet, monitor your personal health and follow diets. Children who are predisposed to diabetes also need constant prevention of the disease.

Maintaining proper water balance

Prevention of diabetes includes not only proper nutrition, the choice of certain dishes prescribed by a doctor, but also maintaining a healthy water balance of the body. This measure is necessary to prevent the development of the disease.

1. To neutralize the natural acids in the body, you need not only insulin, but also the substance bicarbonate, which acts as an aqueous solution. In the case. If the body is dehydrated, bicarbonate continues to be produced, and the level of insulin drops sharply. If a significant amount of sugar in the blood accumulates in the human body, this leads to the development of diabetes.

October 29-World Stroke Day

This day was first celebrated in 2004, when the World Health Organization declared stroke a global epidemic. This initiative of WHO and partners is dedicated to the dissemination of information about such a common and dangerous disease as stroke. To this day, this disease remains one of the main causes of death and disability both in the world and in Russia. Vascular diseases account for more than half of the deaths, with about a fifth of them occurring in people of working age.

In Russia, the death rate from stroke is one of the highest in the world, about 200,000 people die every year, and the same number remain disabled. According to the National Stroke Registry, 31 percent of people who have had the disease need outside help, 20 percent are unable to walk on their own, and only eight percent of survivors are able to return to their previous jobs.

Very often, neither the patients themselves, nor the people who surround them, do not even suspect that they have a stroke. But the further life and health of a person depends on the correct and rapid "recognition" of the disease and the provision of first aid.

In Russia, at the initiative of a group of relatives of patients and the National Association for the Fight against Stroke (NABI), the interregional fund for assistance to relatives of stroke patients "ORBI" was established in 2006. This public organization trains relatives of patients in the basics of care, provides them with information about medical and rehabilitation centers, and conducts educational campaigns for the general population.

What is a stroke?

A stroke is a blood circulation disorder in the brain caused by a blockage or rupture of blood vessels. It is a condition where a blood clot – a blood clot-or blood from a ruptured vessel disrupts blood flow to the brain. Lack of oxygen and glucose leads to the death of brain cells and impaired motor functions, speech or memory.

Diagnosis and prevention of dermatomycosis

Dermatophytia (dermatomycosis) is a fungal infectious disease of the skin, scalp or nails. The affected area has a ring-shaped shape, and in the middle of the infected area, the inflamed edges of which itch and peel, the skin looks healthy. Sometimes the overall picture resembles a worm curled up under the skin (hence the English name of dermatophytia - "ringworm").

How can you get a fungal infection?

Fungal infection is transmitted by contact. Some types of fungus live on wet surfaces, for example, on the floor of a public shower, bath or changing room.
The fungus can also be infected from domestic animals that suffer from such a form of dermatomycosis as ringworm.

The harm of abortion to women's health

Not every woman who decides to have an abortion knows that this procedure will bring much more harm than good. An abortion performed in the past can cause almost any form of infertility in the present. But in addition to medical problems, there is a great danger of psychological consequences.

It is known that such a decision is unnatural and causes psychological trauma to a woman, but abortion also causes irreparable damage to women's health. A woman who goes for an abortion does not think about the fact that she can permanently deprive herself of the happy opportunity to become a mother... And do not rely on the wonders of modern science, which allows conception in a test tube. The harm of terminating a pregnancy is truly overwhelming! The woman's body experiences a shock, as all the organs and systems that are tuned to the development of the embryo, after its removal, experience "confusion".

Everyone knows that with the onset of pregnancy, a complete restructuring of the body begins at the same time, especially with regard to the nervous and hormonal systems. With a sharp termination of pregnancy in these systems, there is a failure of the nervous and hormonal plan, which can not pass unnoticed for the entire body as a whole. First of all, this affects the menstrual cycle and the work of the ovaries. But, in addition to the ovaries themselves, there is a violation in the work of such important organs as the thyroid gland, adrenal glands, pituitary gland. There is an imbalance of hormonal, immune, renal-hepatic functions, regulation of blood pressure, and the volume of circulating blood. The woman becomes irritable, sleep worsens, fatigue increases. That is, there is an "ideal state" for the penetration of any infection that provokes the development of infectious and inflammatory diseases. The result of inflammation of the appendages of the uterus is most often an obstruction of the fallopian tubes. In such a situation, a woman is not immune from ectopic pregnancy or infertility. Ovarian dysfunction due to abortion can become chronic and also lead to infertility.

Preventive gynecological examinations of girls and adolescents

Special attention is paid to the reproductive health of children in our country. The urgency of the problem is connected with the growth of the general gynecological morbidity and with the difficult demographic situation in Russia. According to statistics, every tenth girl is diagnosed with a gynecological disease.

Of great importance in the prevention and early detection of problems in reproductive health are examinations of children by gynecologists in certain decreed age periods. The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation approved the following terms - 3 years, 6, 14, 15, 16 and 17 years.

BEER ALCOHOLISM

The phenomenon of the formation of beer alcohol dependence in the general population of the population and, especially, in the youth environment, has attracted the attention of the general public in recent years. In some publications of specialists in the mass media, an extremely pessimistic assessment of the increased level of beer consumption among the younger generation is given: restrictive sanctions on beer advertising, the introduction of an age limit on the sale of beer, a ban on the production and sale of beer with a high alcohol content are proposed.

So, what is beer? The classic definition of beer is as follows: Beer is a low-alcohol aromatic foamy drink with hop bitterness, made by natural fermentation from sprouted barley (malt), hops, yeast and water. Modern beer is a more complex product, where all the above features are relative. In conventional beer production, when the alcohol concentration increases above 6-7% (vol.), it is difficult to ensure good taste qualities of beer. The concept of natural fermentation in the modern brewing process is also relative. It can be considered very conditional to use only 4 components in the production of beer (barley (malt), hops, yeast and water). Currently, a number of additives are allowed in the production of beer: barley, maize, rice, wheat and millet, which are not converted into malt, can make up up to 40% of the cereals used; acetic, lactic, phosphoric and sulfuric acid can be added to the water for cooking; zinc, iron and ammonium chloride can be used as additives in the wort; sucrose, glucose or modified sugar can be added to the wort and they can make up to 20%; tannin, agar – agar, acids and dyes can be added to stabilize the wort; anti-foaming substances that improve the quality of foam, antioxidants and enzymes can be added to fermentation vessels; stabilizers, preservatives can be used in preparing the product for storage. Saccharin and malt sugar are added to give a sweet taste. What are the dangers of these chemical components? It seems to us that it makes no sense to explain the effect of sulfuric acid on the human body. Sulfur dioxide and sulfuric acid irritate the gastric mucosa. The use of enzymes leads to a sharp increase in the risk of allergic reactions. Turbidity stabilizers can lead to gastritis and enteritis, and the dye tatrazine can lead to an allergic reaction. The fusel oils used cause a severe somato-vegetative reaction with headache, weakness, hyperhidrosis, palpitations. Used for disinfection of containers, formaldehyde can cause cancer. Thus, some varieties of canned beer are a kind of" chemical cocktail " that carries a greater threat to health than the benefits of its use.
