About rabies prevention measures
Rabies-an acute, viral infectious disease common to humans and animals, always ends in death. Rabies affects all mammals.
Infection occurs through bites, scratching, salivation of sick animals, as well as through contact with objects contaminated with infected saliva.
Victims of animal bites should be aware that the causative agent of rabies can be in the saliva of a sick animal for 10 days before the first signs of the disease appear. From domestic animals, the source of infection of people is most often dogs and cats, from wild animals-foxes, wolves, raccoon dogs and various rodents.
