"Youth for healthy lifestyle!" In the regional center, a preventive action was held for students of secondary schools in Lipetsk

In Lipetsk, the preventive action for students of secondary schools of the city of Lipetsk "Youth for healthy lifestyle!"is resumed. On September 23, 2020, medical specialists visited the Lipetsk Machine-Building College.

During the big break, college students spent their free time with health benefits: interactive platforms with the distribution of printed and souvenir products on the basics of a healthy lifestyle, prevention of tobacco smoking and alcoholism, as well as HIV infection worked in the lobby of the educational institution.

The oxygen saturation level was measured on a pulse oximeter for everyone, and the most athletic students measured muscle strength using a wrist dynamometer.

In addition, as part of the campaign, young people could take part in a master class on first aid for fractures, cuts and abrasions, as well as get useful information on a set of physical exercises for each day.

An extensive information and educational program was prepared for the participants of the action:

• video lecture hall " Charge up!» about the impact of fitness classes on health, as well as recommendations for young people on the choice of physical exercises for each day;
• video lecture "You are what you eat!" on promotion of healthy nutrition, prevention of obesity and alimentary-dependent diseases;
• video lecture "The importance of vaccination!" on the prevention of infectious diseases;
• video lecture "Protect yourself from HIV!" on HIV and AIDS prevention.

The information platforms were attended by specialists of various medical and preventive institutions of the region: the Lipetsk Regional Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention, the Lipetsk Regional Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases, the Lipetsk Regional Drug Treatment Dispensary, the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital, the Regional Medical and Physical Education Dispensary, the Center for Postgraduate Education and the Lipetsk City Polyclinic No. 7.

The involvement of young people in the promotion of a healthy lifestyle is one of the important activities of the Health Department of the Lipetsk region. In this regard, various preventive actions for students of educational institutions have been carried out on the territory of our region for several years. During 2019, almost 2000 students of secondary schools and universities of our city took part in the work of information platforms within the framework of the "Healthy Change"campaign. In 2020the participants of the preventive action "Youth for healthy lifestyle!" were students of the largest secondary schools in Lipetsk.

The main goal of such events is to raise the awareness of young people in the field of prevention of socially significant diseases, as well as to form a responsible attitude to their health and promote a healthy lifestyle.
