In the Department of Health of the Lipetsk region, the badge of distinction "For services to the Lipetsk region" was awarded to a veteran of regional health, obstetrician-gynecologist Yevgenia Petrovna Popova.
The solemn event was attended by the Deputy head of the administration of the Lipetsk region A. I. Ilyin, the head of the Health Department of the Lipetsk region Yu. Yu. Shurshukov and the Deputy Chairman of the Lipetsk Regional Council of Deputies V. Kh. Muruzov.
Evgenia Petrovna Popova is a native of Solikamsk, Perm region. In 1961, she graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Arkhangelsk Medical Institute. In 1972, she graduated as a resident of the Voronezh Medical Institute with a degree in obstetrics and gynecology.
Evgenia Petrovna has worked in the maternity service for more than 51 years, in the Lipetsk region for more than 45 years. And she went from an obstetrician-gynecologist to the head of the obstetric physiological department of the State Medical Institution "LOPTS". From 1982 to 1989, she headed the obstetric and gynecological service of the Lipetsk region.
With her participation, the organization of the service and the introduction of modern methods of diagnosis and treatment in obstetrics and gynecology were worked out on a regional scale, the medical and genetic service of the Lipetsk region, the "School of Excellence" for obstetricians and gynecologists of the Lipetsk region, the work of the regional women's consultation to provide specialized assistance for the preservation and restoration of women's reproductive function, modern approaches to family planning and new methods of diagnosis and treatment in obstetrics and gynecology were organized.
With the direct participation of Evgenia Petrovna Popova, the maternity hospital of the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Hospital was put into operation on February 15, 2000. Under her mentorship, a large galaxy of experienced and highly qualified obstetricians and gynecologists of the Lipetsk region has grown.
During her work, Evgenia Petrovna has established herself as a highly qualified specialist and a talented organizer. For conscientious and impeccable work, professional skills, she was repeatedly awarded Honorary Certificates of the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Hospital, the Lipetsk Regional Perinatal Center, Honorary Certificates of the Administration of the Lipetsk region and the Regional Council of Deputies. In 1986, for her services in the field of healthcare, Popova Evgenia Petrovna was awarded the badge "Excellent Health Worker", in 1994-the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Health of the USSR, in 2003-the medal of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation "For Services to Domestic Healthcare". In 2013, she was awarded the Jubilee Medal "For the Glory of the Lipetsk Region".
