#MyPlace. Lipetsk region joined the World Blood Donor Day
On June 8, 2020, at 8: 00 a.m., medical workers of the Lipetsk regional Blood transfusion Station met the first donors. The mobile team of the GUZ "LOSPC" also worked in the city of Yelets, where medical staff served 34 people. This year, the company is dedicated to the theme "Safe blood saves lives", and is held under the slogan "Donate blood in the name of a healthy world".As part of the All-Russian donor campaign144 people came to donate blood together. A total of 64.2 liters of whole blood were harvested from 8 to 15 hours.
Blood donation events are organized in compliance with the necessary security measures: blood collection is carried out from donors who have been pre-registered in the electronic registration system for donation, in the terminal or by phone, which ensures an even flow of those who want to donate blood and the opportunity to maintain a social distance. If necessary, donors are additionally invited via social networks, WhatsApp messenger and SMS.
Donors who come to the station are met by a medical post, where the temperature is measured in a non-contact way, information is collected under the signature from donors about the place of stay for the last 14 days, about contact with persons who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days, or have experienced fever, cold or flu symptoms, fever, cough, cold or flu symptoms in the last 14 days. The administrator on duty ensures the uniform admission of donors to the registry of the donor department and monitors the observance of social distance.
Tomorrow as part of the All-Russian donor campaignActivists of the regional branch of the Water "Medical Volunteers", volunteers of the All-Russian action of mutual assistance will come to the blood transfusion stationMyplace, public and state figures. There will be a "Relay of life" with the participation of donors. There will also be an online flash mob in social networks, during which donors will post posts with the answer to the question " Why did I become a donor?".
LOSPC has taken a set of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, aimed at strengthening the anti-epidemic and disinfection regime, increased the frequency of wet cleaning with the use of deodorants, provided donors with access to dosing devices with antiseptics for hand treatment, ultraviolet bactericidal irradiators work in waiting areas for donors, reduced the number of working donor chairs in donor halls to comply with social distancing, all donors visit the blood transfusion station in masks.
