About the new procedure for registration of voluntary consent to certain types of medical interventions and refusal of them in 2022
Starting from March 1, 2022, a new procedure approved by the order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation dated 12.11.2021 will need to be used to formalize informed voluntary consent to certain types of medical interventions and to refuse them.
Informed voluntary consent to the types of medical interventions included in the List of Certain types of medical interventions to which citizens give informed voluntary consent when choosing a doctor and medical organization to receive primary health care, approved by the order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation dated 23.04.2012 (hereinafter - informed voluntary consent, types of medical interventions included in the List), and refusal of types of medical interventions included in the List (hereinafter - refusal of medical intervention), is given by a citizen or one of the parents or other legal representative in respect of persons specified in paragraph 2 of the Procedure.
Informed voluntary consent is issued after the choice of a medical organization and a doctor at the first request to a medical organization for the provision of primary health care.
In the consent form, information is indicated about the persons to whom doctors can transmit data about the patient's health not only during his lifetime, but also after his death.
In the form of refusal of intervention, the possible consequences of this step are recorded, according to the old rules, the medical worker explained them verbally.
If there is a need to carry out one or more types of medical interventions, in respect of which a refusal of medical intervention has been issued, a citizen has the right to issue an informed voluntary consent to such (such) type (types) of medical intervention.
