Regional scientific and practical conference "Topical issues of HIV and coronavirus infections. Post-ovoid rehabilitation"
On December 16, 2021, the Lipetsk Medical College hosted the regional scientific and practical conference "Topical issues of HIV and coronavirus infections. Post-ovoid rehabilitation".
About 150 teachers and students of the Lipetsk Medical College and the Usman branch of the Lipetsk Medical College participated in the conference online on the ZOOM platform.
The purpose of the event is to exchange experience and increase professional knowledge on topical issues of HIV and coronavirus infection.
The COVID-19 pandemic has radically changed the life of the medical community, dividing it into "before" and "after". Demographic problems have worsened, the course of chronic pathologies has worsened, so now the quality of care provided to the patient especially depends on the knowledge and skills of medical personnel.
The accumulated experience on this topic was shared with the participants of the online conference by specialists of the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital and the Lipetsk Regional Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases.
The report "The results of the first year of the implementation of the strategy for combating HIV infection in the Russian Federation until 2030 on the territory of the Lipetsk region in the conditions of the COVID19 epidemic" was made by Filatov Andrey Nikolaevich, PhD, Chief freelance specialist in HIV infection of the Lipetsk region, chief physician of the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Infectious Hospital. He highlighted the dynamics of the incidence of HIV infection, noted priority areas and problematic issues, and also made suggestions for the implementation of the strategy to combat HIV infection.
Galina Petrovna Slyusareva, Ph.D., Head of the department of the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital shared her experience in the treatment of COVID-19. Galina Petrovna spoke about solving the routing problem, the difficulties of staying in the hospital, and elaborated on the tactics of treating patients with coronavirus infection. The doctor paid special attention to the care of such patients and issues of post-ovarian rehabilitation.
The conference was continued by Irina V. Klevtsova, Deputy Chief Physician for the medical part of the GUZ "LOTSPBS and IZ", chief freelance specialist on HIV infection in children of the Lipetsk region RCD. She spoke about the epidemiological situation of HIV infection in women and children in the Lipetsk region and provided statistics on the risk of infection of children from HIV-positive mothers. In addition, in her speech, Irina Vasilyevna noted the need to prevent vertical transmission of infection and conduct antiretroviral therapy in children.
The problem of early diagnosis of HIV infection and the alertness of medical workers regarding HIV was touched upon by Olga Sergeevna Tonkikh, head of the department of medical diagnostic care and medical examination of the State Medical Institution "LOTSPBS and IZ". Olga Sergeevna, using a practical clinical example, spoke about the difficulty of diagnosing HIV infection, about AIDS indicator diseases and competent tactics of medical workers for early detection of HIV in patients.
Participation in the online conference is a good opportunity for medical professionals to exchange experiences and gain new knowledge about the features of the course and diagnosis of the new COVID-19 coronavirus infection and HIV infection, as well as an effective way to maintain information tone in a pandemic.
In the future, the practical experience shared by doctors, as well as the materials of the conference reports will be used in the educational process of medical educational organizations in Lipetsk and the Lipetsk region.
