Lipetsk Medical College celebrates its anniversary!

90 years have passed since the first students crossed the threshold of the Lipetsk Medical Polytechnic in 1930. During the Great Patriotic War, the Lipetsk Medical Polytechnic was renamed the Lipetsk Paramedic and Midwifery School, which in 1954 was renamed the Lipetsk Medical School, which later became the Lipetsk Medical College through transformations.

Bright pages of the biography of the college, the names of those who stood at the origins of its creation, who ensured its authority and demand-today our pride! Stands reflecting the stages of development and achievements of the educational organization are placed in the museum "History of the College" , and organized research and search work with museum funds allowed to open the museum-exhibition "History of Health care in the Lipetsk region", which was named after K. V. Burtseva. Over the years, the educational institution has developed its own traditions, formed a friendly team of professionals.

The anniversary of the Lipetsk Medical College is not only an occasion to look back at the past, but also to appreciate the present.

Lipetsk Medical College today is a dynamically developing educational organization with a good resource and material and technical base, carrying out educational activities in 7 medical specialties: "Nursing", "Medical care", "Obstetrics", "Pharmacy", "Laboratory diagnostics", "Orthopedic dentistry", "Medical and preventive care" and additional education programs with an annual graduation of more than 400 specialists.

More than 22,000 college graduates work in medical organizations in the Lipetsk region and other regions of the Russian Federation, many of them have become doctors, heads of medical institutions, and public organizations. Among the graduates-Hero of the Soviet Union Ksenia Konstantinova.

The strategic partners of the college are medical organizations, on the bases of which practical training of students is carried out. The close connection of the college with practical health care is coordinated by the founder of the college and medical organizations of the region - the Health Department of the Lipetsk region.   

Improving the quality of graduate training, the competence-based approach to teaching, the implementation of an innovative approach to the education of personality and professionally significant qualities of students allowed the College to have the following results: become the winner of the competition "The best Medical College in Russia", a regional competition for the quality of the Administration of the Lipetsk region. The college teacher is the winner of the All-Russian competition "The best teacher of the Year".

Students of the college are winners of professional skills competitions: All-Russian Olympiads, interregional competitions, the National Championship "Abilimpics", the Regional Championship " Young Professionals (Worldskills Russia)".

The victory of the college in the Grant from the Federal Budget "State support of professional educational organizations in order to ensure that their material and technical base meets modern requirements" allowed us to purchase modern equipment and equip workshops in 5 priority specialties.

According to the results of the monitoring of the quality of training conducted by the Russian Technological University, LMC was ranked in the TOP 500 in Russia and in the TOP 10 regions of the Russian Federation.

The College is implementing an international cooperation project with the Austrian school of nursing training "SchrittezumErfolg"("Steps to Success").

The development of lean manufacturing in medical organizations in the city of Lipetsk and the Lipetsk region determined the need to introduce lean technologies in the educational process of GAPOU "LMC".

In the All-Russian competition of the best lean projects of professional educational institutions, they took 1st place with the project "Reducing the time for approving the topics of term papers and final qualifying works in the Lipetsk Medical College".

The implementation of lean manufacturing projects allowed GAPOU " LMC " to join the League of Lean Colleges in Russia.

The golden fund of the college is its highly qualified teaching staff. The educational process in the 2020-2021 academic year is carried out by 143 teachers, of which 49.5% are full – time.

The aim of the educational process of the Lipetsk Medical College is the formation of professional and general competencies of graduates in demand in practical healthcare. Teachers use modern pedagogical methods: the case method, modular and practice-oriented training, successfully master innovative technologies: project, information, simulation, remote, which is especially important in a difficult epidemiological situation.

The teaching staff successfully organizes the educational and research activities of students. The college has a student scientific society, which unites 39 subject circles. The results of students ' research activities are confirmed by annual victories at regional, regional and all-Russian competitions.

Standards-protocols of medical care and standards of operational procedures are introduced into the educational process. Work continues on the implementation of the regional information and analytical medical system "Quasar".

This gives its results. Today, the college can rightly be proud of the success of its students. The college is especially proud of its excellent students who demonstrate excellent results in state exams and defense of their theses. The percentage of red diplomas on average is about 16.0%. Every year, the best students of the college become fellows of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The system of educational work in the college is based on the implementation of the program of education, takes into account the diagnosis of professional and personal development of students. A system of student self-government has been introduced, with the active participants including the headmen of the groups.

The volunteer movement is actively developing, there are 6 volunteer groups working in various areas. In 2018, in the year of the volunteer, in the nomination "Medical volunteering" for active activity, student volunteers became the winners of the regional competition "Volunteer of the Year 2018".

The material and technical base of the college fully ensures a high level of the educational process. There are 45 classrooms and laboratories, an assembly hall, a gym, a sports hall, a sports ground, and an electronic shooting range.

On the basis of the college, within the framework of continuing medical education for practical health professionals, a multifunctional center for applied qualifications has been created, which provides advanced training and retraining of specialists with secondary medical education.

The team plans to continue the modernization of the educational process, attract additional resources for the implementation of network interaction, the development of new pedagogical technologies.

The teaching staff, students, staff of the college are creatively active, they see their mission in maintaining the status of an educational institution as a single, educational, innovative and scientific complex that trains qualified and in-demand middle-level specialists for the health care of the Lipetsk region.
