COVID-19-STOP! The charity's volunteers help the doctors.

The autumn increase in the incidence of SARS, including the new coronavirus infection, led to a significant increase in the burden on the health system. It's not just doctors working in hospitals who are overwhelmed. Currently, up to 90% of patients are treated at home, that is, they are under the supervision of primary care specialists.

In this situation, the charitable Foundation "Preservation of the Nation and Development of Civil Society"does not stand aside. Members of the Foundation organized the work of volunteer teams in the adult polyclinic of the GUZ "Lipetsk City Hospital No. 4 "Lipetsk-Med".

Together with the medical staff, the volunteers help to monitor patients with detected COVID-19 by phone. Their responsibilities include identifying the contact environment, explaining the need to open a sick list (where and how this can be done), as well as working with documents.

In addition, volunteers find out how a person feels, whether there are any problems with medications, and also report the results of tests and agree on the time of the next visit to the clinic or the arrival of a medical worker at home.

«We currently employ eight volunteers. These are employees of our foundation who were previously trained, and now have the qualification of a nursing nurse. We all passed the next medical examination, " - said the chairman of the Public Council at the Health Department of the Lipetsk region, Director of the CF "SNiRGO" Andrey Popov.
