How to make healthcare in the region the most patient-oriented in Russia. The Health Department of the Lipetsk region held a strategic session on the results of work for 9 months of 2020.

On October 14, 2020, in the great hall of the Health Department of the Lipetsk region, the strategic session "Results of the work of the health department and medical organizations of the region for 9 months of 2020. How to make healthcare the region is the most patient-oriented in Russia."

The session was attended by the Deputy Head of the Administration of the Lipetsk region A. I. Ilyin, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Lipetsk region A.V. Yakutin, Head of the Health Department of the Lipetsk region Yu. Yu. Shurshukov, representatives of the Department of Information Policy and the Department of Economic Development of the Lipetsk region, Lipetsk branches of Sberbank of Russia, as well as chief doctors of medical organizations in Lipetsk.

The purpose of the strategic session is to develop specific measures to bring the level of work with patients to the 1st place in the field of Of the Russian Federation.

The event was organized in an informal setting – in the form of a so-called "brainstorming" - at the present time one of the most effective methods of interactive learning, which allows you to quickly involve all participants in the process.

During the session, the participants were divided into working groups, each of which received one question to work out possible risks and areas of immediate action. Their task is to assess the situation from different points of view, to analyze all possible risks and see possible solutions to the issue.

Then the participants were divided into 2 subgroups: "Skeptics" and "Optimists". For the "Skeptics", the task is formulated as follows thus: "Think and write down the maximum number of answers to the question "Why can't we provide the highest level of quality of patient care?". For "Optimists" - "What do you think, thanks to what actions we will be able to provide the highest level of quality of patient care?". Then the groups swapped places and got a new one a question for discussion.

Each team has made an individual plan to solve their issue with step-by-step actions. After working in mini-groups, the participants presented the developed steps within their working group. The result of the work is to identify the risks and steps that will lead to the intended goal.

An additional result is an increase in the level of involvement of managers and an improvement in the quality of communication between the participants of the session.
