There are no" easy " drugs

The trend of reducing the number of registered drug addicts in the Lipetsk region, as told to us by the chief physician of the LOND, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation Michael Korostin, clearly traced. If 5-6 years ago their number was about 1800-1900 people, today-1355 people.
– These people are constantly in our field of vision, remission (the period of weakening or disappearance of signs of the disease – auth.) should be confirmed. The necessary chemical and toxicological studies are carried out, we visit the families where they live, examine them for HIV infection, " Mikhail Korostin notes.
These are mostly young people up to 30-35 years old, with non-permanent work, their "drug experience" is about 5-6 years. Those who consume drugs of the morphine group (mainly heroin) and those who are addicted to "synthetics" – artificial stimulants-are registered, in this case, the process of liberation from addiction is very difficult.
The state system of step-by-step rehabilitation, as explained by the head doctor of the LOND, includes not only medical care, but also social protection, in unison, work is also going on with actively connected non-profit organizations.
– In outpatient rehabilitation, we help people to stay in society, not to fall "to the bottom". But there are also drug addicts who have broken all social ties, a criminal past, and here a course of inpatient rehabilitation is necessary. We are actively helped by the social protection department, which allocates free vouchers for a 3-month period, - explains Mikhail Ivanovich. – In the process of medical and social rehabilitation, patients gradually begin to enter the usual rhythm of life – and the effect is obvious. Approximately 65% of those who completed the course are in remission for more than a year, people find work options, and trust with their loved ones is restored. The chemical and toxicological laboratory also shows good results (it detects more than 10 types of drugs), over 6 thousand full-fledged studies were conducted during the year.
Among the most common drugs is marijuana, and the myth of its alleged "harmlessness" has not yet been overcome.
– This is not a "light" drug, it begins with the collapse of the psyche. In relation to relatives – emotional coldness, and to yourself-the most powerful egocentrism, the desire to live "beautifully-well", without straining, often the other spouse is drawn into this vicious orbit, - the chief physician of LOND notes. – And the illusion of "I can quit at any time" remains an illusion. According to surveys, a third or a quarter of those who consume marijuana later switch to "synthetics".
And the issue of anonymity, as Mikhail Korostin stressed, will never be resolved, because drug addicts are a great social danger. At the same time, the person is considered recovered after two years of follow-up and confirmed remission. However, those who want to make a career as a civil servant or military, security officer should remember that it is mandatory to request a request to the drug treatment service.
In recent months, the topic of the consequences and risks of using drugs containing psychoactive substances, as a result of impaired reaction, coordination of movements ... Often after a medical examination, drivers are deprived of their rights and pay a large fine, although their fault is only that they took ... analgesic or antipyretic medication.
- Often analgesics contain phenobarbital, which (regardless of the concentration) is detected during the examination. And therefore it is necessary to carefully read the annotation to the drug, take into account that the consequences of its use affect the state of the body for several days. During this period, it is better not to get behind the wheel of a vehicle, – advised Mikhail Korostin. – And we must always remember that there is nothing better than the feeling of natural joy given to us by nature, by God. And an artificial surrogate for joy – this path is deceptive, short-lived and destructive for the individual.
