"Breathe easy!" An action dedicated to the World Tuberculosis Day was held in Lipetsk.

Every year, on March 24, according to the decision of the WHO, World Tuberculosis Day is celebrated, designed to draw public attention to the deadly disease. On this day, in the shopping and entertainment center "Moscow", as part of a preventive action organized by the Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention, several information platforms were working on various thematic areas.  

For the visitors of the shopping and entertainment center, the phthisiatrician of the Lipetsk Regional TB Dispensary held a lecture on the signs and prevention of this disease.

"The most important methods of tuberculosis prevention are annual fluorographic examinations for tuberculosis of the population over 15 years old, as well as tuberculin diagnostics in children. The effectiveness of preventive examinations is evidenced by the fact that every year about 70% of patients from the number of first-time cases of tuberculosis are identified during preventive examinations, without feeling infected, " - said the doctor-phthisiologist of the Regional TB Dispensary Medvedeva L. S.

In addition, a mobile fluorography complex was based in the parking area of the shopping center, where more than 70 people were examined during the campaign.

Specialists of GUZ "Lipetsk Regional Narcological Dispensary" conducted a survey on a smokelizer and advised everyone on quitting smoking, and instructors of GUZ "Regional Medical and Physical Education Dispensary" organized a master class on Nordic walking on a special simulator.  

The participants of the action could test their knowledge of the basic principles of healthy lifestyle management in an interactive quiz organized by the specialists of GUZOT "Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention".

Also, as part of the campaign for visitors to the shopping center "Moscow", the volunteers of the Lipetsk Medical College held a flash mob and together with the growth doll Doctor appealed to the residents of the city to undergo a timely fluorographic examination and take care of their health.

Currently, tuberculosis is a problem of the whole society. It is possible to stop its spread only if everyone knows how to avoid the development of the disease in themselves and their loved ones, as well as follow the recommendations of medical professionals.
