Doctors from the Lipetsk region went to help the children of Donbass
On Monday, October 31, 2022, from the main building of the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Hospital, medical workers of children's medical institutions of the region went on a business trip to the DPR to conduct examination and treatment of children of the Volodarsky and Pershotravny districts of the republic.
This is the first trip of Lipetsk doctors to the areas of the new territories of the Russian Federation. They were escorted on their way by the head of the Government of the Lipetsk region I. G. Artamonov, representatives of the health department of the region, the Association of Medical Workers of the Lipetsk region, colleagues and relatives.
I. G. Artamonov addressed the departing with parting words:
"Our region helps sponsored districts in many areas. It's time to think about medical care. These children are ours now, and they have been without quality treatment for a long time, it is simply impossible not to help them," the governor stressed.
Doctors from all over the country are coming to help in new regions. Lipetsk doctors were among the first to respond. They are all professionals with a lot of experience and a big heart, so the decision to go to Donbass was made by them consciously and voluntarily.
The medical team consists of 12 people: pediatricians, neurologists, pediatric surgeons, paramedics and nurses. These are employees of the Regional Children's Hospital, the Lipetsk City Children's Hospital, the Yelets City Children's Hospital and the Lesnaya Skazka Health and Rehabilitation Center. All of them are first-class and highly qualified specialists. Some of them have been treating children for more than 35 years. The team is headed by the pediatric surgeon of the GUZ "Regional Children's Hospital" A.I. Bogdanov.
During the business trip, Lipetsk doctors plan to examine the maximum number of children and for this they took with them the necessary equipment: a mobile ultrasound machine, an ophthalmoscope, stethophonendoscopes, tonometers, thermometers, scales, height meters, consumables and much more.
The health department of the Lipetsk region noted that they remain in constant contact with doctors and are ready to provide them with the necessary support.
