Patients who have suffered a heart attack, stroke and who have undergone coronary artery angioplasty with stenting will receive the necessary medication free of charge

Within the framework of the national project "Healthcare" of the federal program "Fight against cardiovascular diseases", the Health department of the Lipetsk region has purchased medicines worth almost 70 million rubles.

Patients who have suffered acute cerebrovascular accident, myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass grafting, coronary artery angioplasty with stenting and catheter ablation for cardiovascular diseases have the right to receive medication on an outpatient basis for 2 years on preferential terms.

Such citizens who do not have a disability group, during the first year, can get the necessary medicines free of charge in pharmacies of the State Unitary Enterprise "Lipetsk Pharmacy".

For the treatment of patients with acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular pathology in the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Hospital (LOCB) The Regional Vascular Center has been successfully operating for 10 years. And even in the conditions of a pandemic, his work does not stop for a single day.

Patients with acute heart attacks and strokes are hospitalized in the departments of the vascular center on the principle of a "green corridor", without loss of time. They are immediately assisted by a team of specialists: cardiologists, neurologists, radiation diagnosticians, endovascular surgeons and neurosurgeons. These specialists perform microsurgical and intravascular interventions to save the patient from a fatal complication.

In case of heart attacks, X-ray surgeons restore blood flow in the heart muscle under X-ray control. A stent is inserted into the damaged vessel. Over the past ten years, the number of X-ray surgical interventions in the hospital has increased by an order of magnitude (in 2020, 1850 operations were performed, in 2021 - 2100.).
