The All-Russian campaign of the Ministry of Health of Russia "HIV test: Expedition 2021" will be held in the Lipetsk region
Every year, tens of thousands of people get the opportunity to quickly and free of charge find out their HIV status. Thus, during the annual All-Russian campaign of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation "HIV Test: Expedition", anyone can take an HIV test for free and anonymously in just 15 minutes and get answers to questions related to HIV prevention/AIDS.
The All-Russian campaign "HIV Test: Expedition 2021", which has become recognizable in every corner of the country, started on June 1 in St. Petersburg and will end on November 1 in Khabarovsk. A team of highly qualified specialists will travel through large and small cities of 50 Russian regions to remind people again and again about the problem of HIV infection. The traditional rally of mobile testing points ( MPT) - branded white cars with a wide red ribbon and the inscription "HIV Test: Expedition 2021" on the sides is held to attract wide attention to HIV prevention issues/to tell the residents of Russia about the ways of contracting HIV infection and motivate people to get tested for HIV.
On July 9-10, HIV testing will be held in 3 cities of the Lipetsk region: Yelets, Mud, Lipetsk. During the anonymous rapid HIV testing, the Expedition experts will tell you about this disease in a simple and accessible way, help you assess personal risks, and remind you of effective protection measures. During the Campaign, well-established informational and educational seminars for medical specialists and for parents of high school students will be held in each region.
For several years in a row, the Ministry of Health of Russia has been actively attracting business, the non-profit sector, volunteers, journalists and just not indifferent people to participate in the Campaign. This year, the Gorky Automobile Plant and Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare became partners of the Campaign again, which provided free of charge 30 thousand rapid HIV tests and Durex brand barrier protection products for everyone who passed an HIV test. Also, in support of the Campaign, Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare initiated an information campaign "Your health is your responsibility!".
Given the importance of working in key population groups, special attention will be paid to interaction with public and non-profit organizations within the framework of the Campaign. NGOs help to create conditions for reducing the risks of HIV infection in key population groups, correct and reliable information about the methods of protection and the importance of receiving therapy. To support and further disseminate the most effective practices and methods of work on HIV infection prevention in key population groups, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation is holding a competition of social projects among NGOs (for more information about the Competition, see the website o-spide.ru).
The COVID-19 pandemic has accustomed us to maximum personal security measures. Since 2020, all activities within the framework of the Campaign are carried out in compliance with the necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures: personal protective equipment is used, thermometry is carried out and regular disinfection of all MPT surfaces after each test subject.
