"Together against diabetes!". During the preventive action, dozens of Lipchans checked their health
In order to raise awareness of citizens about the risk factors for the development of the disease, on May 20, 2021, a preventive action "Together against diabetes!" was held in the polyclinic of the GUZ "LGBSMP No. 1".On this day, doctors examined 65 people.
Within the framework of the event, residents of the city could determine the level of glucose in the blood and receive preventive advice from doctors of the Health Center, measure blood pressure, height, weight and waist size, calculate the body mass index, as well as undergo examinations on a cardiovisor, bioimpedance meter and smokelizer. Patients over 40 years of age underwent a vision check and intraocular pressure measurement. All participants of the action received consultations of specialized doctors: an ophthalmologist, a neurologist and an endocrinologist.
In addition, traditional information and educational platforms worked in the lobby of the GUZ "LGBMP No. 1" polyclinic: at the site "12 rules of healthy life", everyone could take an interactive survey on the knowledge of the main risk factors for diabetes and other socially significant diseases, as well as take part in a master class on physical activity and learn the technique of Nordic walking on a special simulator.
The preventive campaign "Together against Diabetes!" has been held in the Lipetsk region since 2017. In 2021, the campaign is held monthly in various polyclinics and hospitals in Lipetsk, which allows you to reach residents of all districts of our city.
The participants of the campaign are specialists of various medical organizations in the region: the Lipetsk Regional Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention, the Regional Medical and Physical Education Dispensary, the Health Centers of the Lipetsk City Polyclinic No. 2 and the Lipetsk City Polyclinic No. 7, as well as doctors of polyclinic institutions in Lipetsk and volunteers of the Lipetsk Medical College.
The organizer of the event is GUZOT "Tsozimp" in cooperation with the Lipetsk Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization of Disabled People "Russian Diabetic Association".
