The right amount of salt is found in all foods and the concentration of sodium ions will be normal, even if the food is not salted at all.

It is also necessary to limit the consumption of various preservatives, sausages, smoked products.

It has been proven that a rapid increase in blood sugar, such as after drinking sugary and carbonated drinks, can increase blood pressure. Indeed, often the first symptom of diabetes is a glass of water on the nightstand. The person is constantly thirsty and drinks plenty of fluids in order to lower the glucose level by dilution. But there is also an indirect way to increase pressure. Diabetes mellitus is a very insidious disease that slowly affects the body's vessels, which adversely affects the function of many organs, including the kidneys. All this leads to a significant increase in blood pressure. In addition, elevated levels of insulin, which is present in type 2 diabetes, causes a feeling of hunger, leading to increased deposition of fat in the body. Subcutaneous fat is no longer considered as a simple depot of nutrients, it has been unequivocally proven that it functions as an endocrine gland, producing many active substances that are designed to increase blood pressure and preserve body fat.

It is also better to avoid high-calorie meals with fast-digesting carbohydrates (these are various confectionery products, white bread), foods containing a large number of animals and a number of vegetable fats, as they cause a significant increase in insulin. It will be useful to control the total daily caloric intake of food eaten. You should not overeat, because it also leads to obesity.

With complex nutrition, preference should be given to natural vegetable dishes, more fruit. Fructose in their composition is a natural substitute for glucose and does not harm blood vessels. Eat more fish. The meat is best boiled or stewed. When fried, complex isomers of fatty acids are formed, which have carcinogenic properties.

It is very important to say about tonic drinks - coffee, strong green and black tea. They contain caffeine, which tends to increase blood pressure, cause heartbeat. Therefore, excessive consumption of these drinks is undesirable.

Separately, I would like to mention energy cocktails. It is generally accepted that they provide an additional supply of energy, but this is a delusion. Here, the composition includes stimulating and vitamin mixtures, as well as a large amount of glucose, and they only stimulate the heart, blood vessels, nervous, endocrine systems. As a result, the body is under severe stress and begins to work with increased stress, releasing large doses of adrenaline into the blood. The latter causes the effect of euphoria, hyperreactivity. In this state, the wear resistance of the body deteriorates significantly, the resource of internal organs decreases, and episodes of increased pressure can be observed.
