Analysis and conclusions based on the results of the survey on the topic "Antibiotics"
In the period from December 6 to December 19, 2021, the Health Department of the Lipetsk region conducted a survey on the topic "Antibiotics" among registered users of the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services (Public Services) with a confirmed account.
The question was put to the vote of citizens: "What do you know about antibiotics?" and a number of facts were given to choose from.
The most popular facts among respondents were: excessive use of antibiotics leads to a decrease in their effectiveness (62.9%); side effects are possible when taking an antibiotic (52.85%); antibiotics affect bacteria and kill them (47.97%). A smaller number of respondents voted that antibiotics affect viruses and kill them (23.58%) and antibiotics are effective against flu and colds (29.27%).
From the data obtained, it follows that most of the survey participants are still aware of the correct use of antibacterial therapy, but there is a percentage of erroneous opinions of citizens.
In this regard, we strongly recommend:
- - use only antibiotics prescribed by a doctor;
- - do not interrupt the course of treatment prescribed by the doctor, even if the symptoms disappear before the end of the course;
- - never self-medicate, do not use antibiotics purchased for a past illness, or unused prescriptions from a past illness, without the supervision of a doctor.
It is necessary to be extremely careful and attentive to your health!
