Prevention of childhood injuries in winter.

12.01.2022

Sledding, skiing, skating and snowboarding have always been and will be a traumatic activity. But, if these sports equipment are controlled and are often used in conditions equipped for this, then tubing or, simply, "cheesecake" is now the main supplier of injuries.

Recently, our children and adults are simply too lazy to master these sports equipment (sleds, skis, skates and snowboard), and the cheesecake is an ordinary balloon inflated with air, simple in its use, but absolutely not controllable, especially on unequipped slopes. The cheesecake turns over with ease, throws it and throws it in different directions. And for riding cheesecakes, the same means of protection are needed as for downhill skiing and snowboarding.

Therefore, it is the main task for adults to prepare a child on issues of safe behavior for health. Before putting a child on skis or skates, you need to teach this child. Technical knowledge is required: the ability to put a foot, hold the body, regulate the rhythm of breathing, knowledge of the fall safety rules. It is important for parents not only to teach their child safe skating, but also not to forget to provide the necessary means of protection (elbow pads, knee pads, helmets, etc.).

And most importantly - you can only ride in specially equipped places for this!

Another common winter injury is frostbite. Most often, frostbite is exposed to toes and hands, cheeks, nose and ears. Frostbite often occurs imperceptibly, without pain, so it is necessary to pay more attention to the color of the blush in the child, check the sensitivity of the skin of the face, constantly move your fingers and toes. If you notice white spots on the skin of a child on a walk, come home immediately! There are signs of frostbite!

To avoid unpleasant consequences, properly dress the child for walks: mittens, a scarf, a hat made of a water-repellent material with a warm lining are necessary; shoes that do not squeeze the limb and do not let water through. The skin of the face can be protected with a special baby cream that does not contain water.

It should also be remembered that the number of traffic injuries does not decrease in winter. On a slippery road, the braking distance of cars is much longer. This should be remembered not only by children, but also by adults. Especially the drivers.

Favorite children's entertainment - fireworks and firecrackers should be allowed only under the supervision of adults, observing strict safety rules.

It must be remembered that adults play an important role in the sports education of their children. It is extremely important to distract from your worries, and especially from gadgets, in order to pay them increased attention!
