Dear asthmatics, patients suffering from COPD and respiratory failure associated with lung and bronchial damage!

I ask you to seriously approach vaccination against COVID-19. Your vaccination may be delayed due to an acute illness or an exacerbation of a chronic one. After recovering within 3 weeks, do not delay the date of vaccination any longer. As a rule, in the summer season, your diseases cause you less trouble, you can spend more time in the air. However, the coronavirus does not choose the season.

What do you get as a result of vaccination:

• Safety of planned and emergency hospitalization in hospitals
• The formation of one's own immunity, and, consequently, the prevention of a severe form of covid-19
• The formation of collective immunity, and, consequently, the limitation of the epidemic and the return to the usual way of life
• Formation of a safe environment for fellow citizens without immunity, who for certain reasons cannot be vaccinated.

Dear fellow internists and general practitioners! Patients with chronic respiratory diseases should not be afraid of vaccination.

Among the pulmonological patients, there is a very small number receiving biological therapy with genetically engineered drugs. Only these patients need to determine the date of vaccination together with the pulmonologist, without violating the schedule of administration of immunopreparations.

Dear colleagues!

Take your parents to get vaccinated the same way they took you to get vaccinated as a child. Protect them from the risks of infection and spread of COVID-19, which we are surrounded by because of our profession, in the choice of which we were once supported by moms and dads.
