On December 3, 2019, the final preventive action "Healthy Longevity-2019" was held in the polyclinic of the GUZ "Yeletskaya RB". About 100 people took part in it.
Increasing the life expectancy of the population of the Lipetsk region is the main task of regional health care. However, the active longevity of residents depends not only on the effective operation of medical institutions and the quality of equipment, but also on a set of preventive measures to prevent premature mortality.
In this regard, the regional Health Department, with the support of the administration of the Lipetsk region, has been conducting a regional preventive campaign "Healthy Longevity-2019"in the municipal districts of the region since April 2019. The campaign covered all districts of the Lipetsk region: the main specialists of the region examined more than 2000 patients, and for the first time diseases were detected in 132 people. As a result of the work carried out, more than 500 patients were referred for consultation to the regional medical organization, and more than 200 people were referred for hospitalization. In addition, 16 residents of the region were referred for consultation outside the region.
Within the framework of the "Healthy Longevity" campaign, the chief specialists of the regional health department conducted an in-depth examination of patients with chronic diseases who are already on the dispensary register in district and inter-district hospitals, as well as the selection of patients for recovery and treatment in regional multidisciplinary hospitals and, if necessary, outside the region.
In addition, on the information and educational platform, it was possible to get printed products for the prevention of various diseases and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
It should be noted that for a number of years, various actions were carried out in all districts of our region to prevent diabetes, cardiovascular and oncological diseases. But the main and fundamental difference between this campaign and those held earlier in our region is that it involves medical teams staffed by the main specialists of the region in various fields (cardiology, neurology, oncology, gynecology, pulmonology, surgery, gastroenterology, and other profiles), employed in the leading clinics of the region, as well as mobile diagnostic complexes (mobile clinics).
The joint work of doctors of various specialties made it possible to achieve the main goal-to actively prevent premature mortality of the population, including those of working age, as well as to increase the availability of specialized medical care for residents of municipal districts of the Lipetsk region.
